MSCA Staff Exchange (MSCA-SE) 2024 overview

Subsidy: Varies depending on location and project duration

Total budget: 2024: €81.2M

Funding rate: 100%

Deadlines: 28 February 2024, 5 March 2025

Project duration: 4 years

Consortium: At least three legal entities established in different Member State or associated countries. Usually between 5-10 partners.

Scope: The Staff Exchange scheme promotes international and cross-sector collaboration through exchanging research and innovation staff, and sharing knowledge and ideas from research to market (and vice-versa). The scheme fosters a shared culture of research and innovation that welcomes and rewards creativity and entrepreneurship and helps to turn creative ideas into innovative products, services or processes.

Proposals under this Action should contribute to the following expected impacts:

  • Increase international, inter-sectoral and interdisciplinary mobility of research staff within Europe and beyond through collaborative research networks and activities;
  • Strengthen the R&I human capital base in Europe and beyond;
  • Increase Europe’s attractiveness as a leading destination for R&I;
  • Contribute to Europe’s competitiveness and growth through high-quality R&I;
  • Foster the culture of open science, innovation and entrepreneurship.

 


About MSCA

5 different types of grants are available in the MSCA program, aiming to set up different types of training networks or training programs. Other grants fund fellowships or events to increase the popularity of science in society. Marie Curie aims to enhance the skills of researchers or science staff in different stages of their career and the possibility to improve your career in science. In a lot of the grants the mobility principle is an important requirement, the researchers need to travel towards another country to gain skills, expertise or a fellowship.
